DUBLIN CANVAS 2023

I was delighted to be a part of Dublin Canvas 2023. My design was inspired by my beloved dog, Sandy, who passed away this year, after 14 wonderful years together.

A scene along the local part of the Royal Canal , depicting lushness of the canal’s greenery. Swans always spotted swimming down the quiet stretch of water near the Dublin/Kildare boarder. Bees buzzing, peacefully collecting pollen from the local flora.

This was Sandy’s favourite place to walk, swim and play, and she inspired my application to Dublin Canvas this year. I thought this would be a lovely way to keep her memory alive and bring some new colour and life to the local area. There are many families in this area who have dogs and other pets and I feel that this piece will really touch the hearts of many local people, that either knew Sandy or have pets of their own.
