identity, memory, reflection, storytelling, self expression, experience.

The work I created during my final year of my Bachelor’s Degree dives deep into my experience with life. I reflect on my memory and sense of self using mixed media, collage and paint. Storytelling has been an important part of my life since I was a child, and I have continued to use this in my practice through my idea of “wearable stories.” I try to be as sustainable as I can when sourcing my materials - I frequent charity shops and scavenge for found objects.

I was born and currently live in Dublin, Ireland. In 2021, I completed my BA (Hons) in Fine Art (Studio+ Year) at the National College of Art & Design, in Dublin. I did a Studio+ year which enabled me to experiment and find new and different ways to create and express myself. I was able to graduate on 15th November 2021, with a commendation on my Research Essay - which is able to read via the Edward Murphy Library. Since graduating, I have been able pursue my true passion - tattoos. I started my apprenticeship in 2022, and began tattooing people in early 2023. My main inspirations, Sea Creatures and Scenery, Irish Folklore, Myths and Legends, Celtic Knots, other mythical creatures like mermaids and fairies, Tarot Cards, Anime & Manga, anything cute and colourful. I have been fascinated by tattoos ever since I was child, a lot of my pocket money was spent on temporary tattoos growing up. As a teenager I was constantly doodling in notebooks, schoolbooks, as well as all up arms. My interest in tattoos only grew, and I started to consider tattooing as a future career while I was in school. As soon as I could afford to, I went out and got my first tattoo. Now here I am, a Tattoo Artist.

Scuba diving is a major part of my life, and influences a lot of the imagery I use in my Fine Art practice. I began diving in 2014 with a local diving club, and achieved my two star or club diver grade in 2018 through CFT and CMAS. I use the underwater world to explore the idea of memory and emotion.
